Meet the Presenters
Myra is an experienced Certified Aging Specialist with a demonstrated proficiency & history working in the aging services industry. Skilled in Life Coaching, Public Speaking, Caregiver Education, Mentoring, and Elder Care. She has a strong educational & professional background and possesses numerous Certifications relating to areas of specialty and practice.

Carol has a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Gerontology and Health Policy; a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology; and a Master’s degree in Oncology Nursing. Her professional experience as a clinical nurse and health educator on elder care issues spans several decades.

Pat is a nurse practitioner with a doctorate in education who has spent over 40 years providing health care, patient education, and undergraduate and graduate nursing education. Pat and her husband cared for her mom in their home for the last 5 years of mom’s 94-year life. She has assisted other family members, neighbors, and patients who have dementia.

Kat is a caregiver coach, specializing in senior living healthcare transition and dementia care consultation. She works directly with families to teach them how to modify their approach to communicating with their loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, to live through the journey of the diseases in the most positive way possible.

Linda has been an advocate for seniors for more than 30 years. She was an Adult Protective Service Worker and is currently a Long-Term Care Ombudsman, the last four years as a Certified Volunteer. Linda cared for her elderly parents, including her WWII veteran father living with Alzheimer’s disease, for 10 years until their passing. She is an educator in the field of dementia and an experienced public speaker in the community and long-term care facilities.

Andrea has dedicated her career to serving and advocating for seniors. She has an extensive background in senior living as a Certified Assisted Living Administrator, Certified Occupancy Specialist for Affordable Housing, Site Compliance Specialist, Director of Admissions and Social Services, as well as being a Certified ServSafe Food Protections Manager. Andrea has also served on the boards of several notable nonprofit organizations.

Lia is a licensed physical therapist assistant and director of therapy. She is dedicated and experienced in treating long-term care patients with various cognitive impairments, including Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Lia values the art of communication and possesses an eagerness to grow as a mentor within the geriatric population to provide skillful service that allow seniors to enhance their quality of life.

Mary Pat O’Leary has a bachelor’s degree in nursing and works as a Senior Planner for Aging and Disability Services, the Area Agency on Aging for Seattle/King County. She has spent over 43 years in the nursing field, including staff development, overseeing, and managing evidence-based programs. Mary is a Master Trainer for Living Well with Chronic Conditions, Diabetes Self-Management, and Chronic Pain Self-Management, and has been trained in the Aging Mastery Program.
